There are fashionable brands that are real institutions in the sector. Their clothes and accessories are a pride to wear, and are considered a status symbol due to reputation of the brand in question. As a result, branded products can cost a lot.

Gucci bags have been items coveted by many for decades, and are recognizable everywhere. There have always been many fakes that, in most cases are really obvious, but not always. So, what details need to be checked? Much depends on the model, but in general:

  • The intertwined "G" of the logo must have a uniform chrome plating and without defect. The Gs form an perfect circle and the tapered tips of the Gs are crisp.
  • As in all well-made products, an indication of quality are the seams and stitches: precise, without any irregularities, let alone any threads that are unraveling or hanging loose.
  • Buttons: even the internal, hidden buttons must have the logo engraved on them in a subtle, but clearly legible way, with the letters crispy defined.

A brand that has returned to the limelight recently, and which has been able to conquer the international market again, is Fila. Sneakers of this brand have come to to rival their competitors and are very popular in the industry. So how can we avoid fakes?

  • The logo is the first clue: the space between the letters must be perfectly equi-distant.
  • In the photo, you can see the surface of the logo on one of the shoes is not perfectly smooth l(ike the other), indicating a fake product.
  • Less easy to see immediately, but very revealing, is the hollow in the center of the heel: in the genuine article it is wider and more sinuous.
  • The proportions between the various parts (or bands) of the upper are also clearly different.

Among the most iconic brands of sunglasses is Ray-Ban, especially Aviators. They are also the brand of sunglasses that are most faked. How can we detect these fakes? It is not easy to do over the internet, but if you see them in a shop, it is a lot easier.

  • The frame is made of unique pieces, with no visible fusions along the lines. Furthermore, in opening and closing, it is a fluid movement but which also provides some resistance and feels solid. They are often heavier than fake products.
  • The brand logo is shown on the upper right corner of the right lens, and is always well defined and engraved. It cannot be scratched off easily (like can be done to fakes).
  • The case may also be too small and too snug in fake products.
