There are those who have green thumbs and love for gardening and then there are those who, on the other hand, have less patience and passion for gardening. Everyone who has a garden, however, would like to see it looked after and full of life and colors. Looking upon a flower bed, at times, can even be good for one's mood. This is true too for flower arrangements placed in our homes.

So why not roll up your sleeves and turn your garden into a little piece of heaven? With the right tips and some creative and panoramic ideas in your head, you don't need to be an expert gardener or an interior / exterior design artist. Just a little imagination and desire to do so will suffice. Take a look at some of the ideas below and choose your favorites to try out:

A brilliant and very nice idea is to plant flowers in the open ground - even those in different colors - close to an overturned pot next with other flowers inside. The flowers in the pot and those on the ground will look like they are all part of a single plant and this will create a wonderful optical effect. The whole scene will look like a randomly overturned pot of spilled, colorfull paint and the image will be spectacular. Flowers that are very suitable for this type of project are petunias.

Hanging flower pots from the iron band of a wagon wheel could also be very cute.

And even more special is the idea of using an old bicycle, perhaps repainted in a color of your choice, and placing it in a corner of the garden, decorated with numerous pot plants. Perfect for an Art Nouveau-style garden.

A must-hve for anyone involved in outdoor decoration and gardening, is to plant flowers in a wheelbarrow. There are no limits imposed on the vividness of colors and bold contrasts you can use. Let your creativity take flight!

And if the scenographic effect of the "wheelbarrow-flowerbed" is not enough by itself, you can add a touch of illumination for the evenings. Try some outdoor lights that appear to be cascading from a watering can onto the flowers (like the flowers are being watered). It could be a real masterpiece in your garden.

Do you want even more unique container for plants? Colored rubber boots (Wellington boots, wellies, waders) are a delightful and very unique alternative for a garden that will certainly not go unnoticed.

Old filing drawers repainted in your favorite colors are another fancy type of planter you can try.

And if you really want to be daring, even an old piece of furniture can become a colorful flower bed.

But the garden can be decorated with more than just plants and flowers - even if they are the main characterizing element. Gravel is often found in gardens in all kinds and shapes, for example. Coloring pebbles and recreating a road or a stream - based on the look and feel you want to achieve -  is a very special way of enhancing your garden (along with the flowers).

For those who love to knit or crochet, another decorative project involves using these techniques to clad the trunks of trees, for example. A green plant that does not have any flowers is ideal for this type of project. The result is visually striking.

And then there is the fence - another typical element seen in gardens - which could be used to introduce color and innovation. Paint it in colors you like and which match your home. An unusual idea could be to transform the posts into large, colored pencils. It is a project more suited to the creative soul of those who embraced their inner child and/or for homes where there are children. In general, this project is to help create a joyful environment with positive vibes!

You just need to start experimenting. Great work!
