Furnishing a small house requires you to rack your brains to find the most suitable solution for each individual situation, and to find a way to satisfy our needs and tastes in the best possible way. Sometimes you throw in the towel when the right inspiration doesn't immediately come to mind: combining the elements of efficiency and taste isn't always easy, and sometimes even our available budget doesn't help either.

Thus, it is useful to get inspiration from some tips that really work to stimulate us to think about how we could adapt a space-saving solution to the specific case we are facing. Take a look at the images below and perhaps these can help you out:

Nightstands do not need to be bulky, and as long as they offer a place for books, a mobile phone, an alarm clock, they can be very useful ... And then they can also be solutions that can take on almost any shape and be made of various materials. Irrespective, nightstands usually have small dimensions and are mounted on the wall, helping to keep clutter off the floor.

The bedside lamp, therefore, will need be mounted to the headboard or placed on the wall instead (creating even more space).

A sitting room (lounge) on the balcony: even the smallest balconies can be made to be comfortable - and if there is a minimum of space available, even these small spaces become truly enchanting.

A small oasis in a corner: a comfortable armchair, a light and lots of plants are all you need to turn a corner into a relaxing retreat for yourself.

A office at home: working remotely from home teaches us to turn every table into a desk. But it is tedious to have to remove everything (and put it back later) if you are also using the table for dining (or other purposes).

To find a permanent home for an office desk, consider all the windows and corners of the house, or the end sections of a wall with wardrobes against it: you could find the niche in which to create a fixed office.

Other spaces that can be exploited, are the walls around the windows. These can be equipped with a combination of a bridging piece and seating furniture to create a relaxation point and to store books - but could also be decorated with display objects and / or plants.

And any seat can always reveal useful space underneath it.

When you want to create extra space in the bedroom, and if the ceiling has the minimum height necessary, consider installing a loft bed.

More on corners: corners can accomodate custom-made shelves that are very useful for finding more space to store your objects.

When bridging structures, door frames can become a space to be decked out with bespoke shelving.

And the same can be done with the space just below the ceiling - useful for storing things that are used less often.

Instead of having a bare wall, install shoe racks, bookcases, etc ...

... or even an alternative version of the classical porcelain / tea service display cases.
