The PLATSA furniture series from the Swedish furniture giant IKEA is made up of many elements of different sizes, all united by a basic simplicity of shapes. In fact, they appear like blocks with sharp edges and very smooth surfaces, in a basic form and without handles or knobs protruding from the surfaces of the doors.

It is therefore one of the many modular systems from this famous furniture brand, designed to be combined in a customised manner and as needed to give life to the furniture that really serves and that best suits the space available. If you like the extremely minimalist and simple style of PLATSA, let yourself be inspired by some of these ideas to integrate it into your decor.

Almost like futuristic monoliths: these simple white and apparently impenetrable plinths are a large, roomy and comfortable wardrobe. In addition to finding a place for clothes, you can also sit down in the center as if it were a seat.

Do you need to fill the space under a staircase or a sloping attic? Use the various elements of this system as if they too were steps that follow the inclination of the staircase.

A modern and compact container bed: there is space under the mattress and then a wall at the foot full of useful compartments, which you can leave open in one place so as not to have an oppressive wall and rather let the light pass through.

Another idea for a container bed: at the foot of the bed, there are drawers, and this time with small knobs. Also above the headboard other wall units in the same style. These simple and geometric shapes also look good in a room that has different colors for the walls and the floor.

A bridge structure to frame a sofa bed: it is perfect for the living room which, if necessary, becomes the bed area for guests.

A comfortable bench to sit on, but with space below to store objects inside: it is beautiful on the sides of a living room, but it could also become the solution to furnish under a window and create a sort of DIY reading nook.

With the straight and simple legs, the various elements of the series become together as living room furniture on which to place the TV.

Just add details in different materials and colors that immediately transforms the blank canvas that is this furniture and which comes to life with personal tastes.

Doesn't it seem to you that this perfect interlocking composition has been able to exploit a small portion of the wall very well?

We typically see this furniture in white, but it looks beautiful in black too!
