The use of liquid soap is the most practical and hygienic method to wash your hands. In fact, this soap effectively removes dirt from our hands, leaving them perfectly clean and perfumed, and unlike soap bars, germs and bacteria will not settle on it.

There are numerous types of liquid soap in the marketplace today, but which are more or less made up using the same natural chemical compounds. However, if we want to be sure about the origin of the ingredients, we can make our own soap.

There are various recipes for making liquid soap at home, and the one we suggest today is very simple and involves the use of only two ingredients.

To prepare a perfect liquid hand soap, you will only need two ingredients: a bar of soap and a spoonful of baking soda.

Start by grating your bar of soap into small pieces; alternatively you can use 100 g of soap flakes (store-bought) in order to speed up this process. Put the grated or flaked soap in a blender together with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 liter of water, blending for about 2 minutes until you obtain a homogeneous and creamy mixture. At this point, you can decant this mixture into your soap dispenser and it will be immediately ready for use.

You can customize this basic recipe however you like. For example, you can perfume it by adding essential oils. If, on the other hand, you prefer a neutral soap (for sensitive skin), just leave it as is.

Further advantages to making this DIY soap is that it is very cheap and also has much less impact on the environment (for example, there is no packaging to get rid of).
