We all know that few objects are as recyclable as pallets. But in the vast majority of cases, it is just the planks of the pallet that are used. Most discard the front sections of pallets, including the wooden blocks that act as dividers between the two layers of a pallet.

But these blocks can, in themselves, be very useful for creative DIY recycling projects. Check out the ideas below to get some inspiration:

Wine rack: a single vertical strip, this takes up very little space and is perfect for storing wine bottles for your next party.

Placing the blocks side by side, and using the spaces created to place wine bottles, is another variation on the wine rack theme. 

The front of the pallet acts as a shelf, and a few wooden planks create a panel that is secured to the wall: a rustic and functional coat rack.

Table or floor lamps: glass jars become beautiful lanterns, to be inserted in the front part of a pallet.

Instead of jars, you could also use liquor bottles: a unique idea for creative lighting solutions.
