There are several natural remedies that can be used, but you need to pay attention to the type of flooring in order to avoid damaging it.

  • White vinegarnot to be used on delicate marble or natural stone floors, vinegar's cleaning power can be exploited by wetting a microfiber cloth which you can wipe over the surfaces. Leave on to act for at least 2 hours before removing loosened dirt with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Sodium bicarbonate: use this diluted in a little water to form a thick paste which you can spread on porcelain surfaces.  Leave on to act for an hour before wiping off with a sponge.
  • Citric acid: another remedy to avoid using on marble and natural stone floors. Preapre a mixture by diluting 150 g in 1 liter of water and spray it on the porcelain. Leave on to act for an hour and then rinse off.
  • Lemon: by mixing the juice of 2 lemons with a glass of vinegar you will get a fantastic product to remove even the most stubborn stains from silicone and porcelain. Spray this mix on the surface to be treated, leaving it to act for an hour. Note that this mixture is not suitable for delicate floors.
  • Hydrogen peroxide: you can use this remedy if/when the others have not worked. Mix a tablespoon and a half with 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate and 2 of Marseille soap and spread over the surface to be cleaned, leaving it to act overnight.
