Wooden logs as Christmas decorations: be inspired by these 11 creative and easy ideas

The magic of Christmas is, in part, created by the decorations that fill the house during the festive season. Every bauble ends up contributing to creating a festive atmosphere. Indeed, setting up of all the decorations is a traditional Christmas activity enjoyed by the whole family.

We can decorate the home with ornaments, compositions, centerpieces, Christmas trees and so on. There are a thousand ideas to explore and some use wooden logs to this end (rather than just burning them). Check out the suggestions below:

A few branches and logs, some glue (or maybe screws), a red bow and colored buttons: it's not difficult to create reindeer which you can place in the home or even outside at the entrance!

Here's a modern and elegant idea, which can be done quickly: a decent metal container - like a vat or a zinc bucket - filled with logs  (those with white bark are very attractive), a few green, pine fronds and some lights set up inside - beautiful!

Use a saw to cut a few logs obliquely. Then, paint on the exposed surfaces the faces of stylized Santa Clauses.

Vertically mounted logs on a wooden base, hollowed out at the top to house candles: it's a perfect table centerpiece for Christmas.

And why not cut a trunk into thick discs which can then be used to create a very attractive "snowman" (and which will never melt)?

With the same technique, you can create many really adorable characters and compositions!

At the entrance to the house or in a corner inside, a bundle of straight logs, tied up with a large bow in shades of red (or another color you like), and enhanced with fronds and leaves. A simple idea with a rustic flavour.

A log trimmed on one side so that it can be placed on a shelf. The top can then be hollowed out to hold candles. Here's another centerpiece you can try.

On the mantle of the fireplace - or some other large shelf - a bundle of logs tied up with ribbons and decorated with fronds is an easy object to make (and take apart at the end of the holidays).

Birch logs, (or other logs with light bark) standing vertically in the middle of a group of lanterns. A lovely modern and rustic mix.

And you can use branches to assemble many different models of Christmas trees, customized for your home.

Happy Holidays!
