The autumn period is, for many, the best time of year. The colors, the scents, the mild climate and much more make it a time with a magical atmosphere. Everything is made even more joyful and relaxing by the holidays, such as Halloween, which then leads directly to winter and Christmas.

It is in this moment of the year that we stay more at home and enjoy the home environment. So why not try to decorate your home to match the season? Dressing the house in autumnal colors and making beautiful decorations by hand, can be a wonderful DIY project.

In this regard, here are some ideas to draw inspiration from:

A wonderful autumn lantern can be created by simply gluing leaves on/in a jar.

Equip yourself with glass jars, fake autumn leaves (readily available almost everywhere) and vinyl glue. Wash each jar out thoroughly with soap and water, wipe it down with denatured alcohol and let it dry thoroughly. Only by removing every trace of grease, will the leaves will adhere perfectly. As in any decoupage job, glue the leaves on top of each other, with the help of a brush or sponge, and then apply another layer of vinyl glue over the entire surface. Let it dry for a few hours (preferably overnight) and your lantern will be ready.

By placing candles inside, you can use these delightful lanterns for autumn-themed evenings or distribute them around the house and make the atmosphere feel more magical and colorful.

Another great idea is a wreath to hang on a door, made from a picture frame. Just glue fake or dried leaves and flowers in autumn colors to the frame and add a tag to wish everyone a "happy autumn". You can have it ready in no time and it will be a delightful and original way to welcome guests.

A wonderful table centerpiece can be made by gluing together wooden strips and giving it any shape you want. Add autumnal details such as pumpkins, flowers, leaves and candles, following the order and composition that your imagination suggests. Your centerpiece with autumnal colors will be a masterpiece.

Finally, in this last photo, there is another lantern made with a jar - but a different version. Using paint and a stencil and filling with coffee beans, recreates a background in typical autumnal brown. By adding a tag tied with string, it can even become a great gift idea.
