The problem of mold on the walls of the house is unfortunately a widespread problem, which tends to diminish a little with the arrival of summer. However, mold that has already formed does not disappear miraculously, even in summer, and it must be removed, typically using special, expensive cleaning products. The same applies to the other types of dirt, scuffs and stains which appear on walls - a never-ending problem that needs regular cleaning to stay on top of.

Vinegar, lemon, essential oils, bicarbonate of soda (bicarb), are all natural products which are effective both against both mold and other forms of dirt. Simply combine the various ingredients in the right amounts and the results are guaranteed, on top of also being eco-friendly. Among other things, this solution is useful for all types of walls, including those clad with tiles - especially in one of the rooms most prone to mold, the bathroom. Discover the 6 most effective natural cleaning methods, described below, and test them for yourself:

Before removing any mold or dirt from the walls, you must first wipe them down with a dry duster and remove all items which are hanging on the walls (paintings, for example), unless they are fixed items such as shelves. In this case, just remove the objects and place them aside in a safe place. If the wall is clad with tiles, such as in the bathroom, use a damp cloth.

The first natural remedy we recommend that you try is baking soda (bicarb), which is useful against stains. Pour a few tablespoons into some water, dip a sponge in the solution and, after having squeezed it out, pass the sponge over the walls.

Another must-have of household cleaning is vinegar - which is also ideal as an anti-mold product. Prepare a mixture of water and vinegar, dip a sponge in the solution and wipe down the walls. This operation must be repeated at least every 4-5 months.

Have you ever considered that you could use citrus extract to remove mold? In combination with tea tree oil, it is an excellent natural remedy. Just put a dozen citrus extract drops into a glass of water and add a spoonful of tea tree oil. Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle and spray it directly on the mold, leaving it to act for a few hours.

Are the bathroom tiles covered in mold? In this case we advise you to mix ten drops of lavender essential oil with 50 ml of food alcohol (ethyl alcohol). Spray the mixture directly onto the tiles, leaving it to act for an hour or so. Then clean the tiles with a brush. Finally, do not underestimate the power of lemon, the juice of which is ideal for removing and preventing the formation of mold.

If the problem is not one of mold but pencil / pen / crayon marks and scribblings caused by the children on the walls of the house, squeeze a little white toothpaste on a soft sponge and pass it on the scribblings, until they are completely removed.
