When the weather is pleasant, it's nice to be able to spend time outside relaxing in a "little oasis". To create a special outside spot, we don't necessarily need to expend a lot of money and/or effort.

With the right ideas, even a small project can transform our balconies, terraces and gardens into a wonderland. Get some inspiration from the ideas described below:

The classic pergola: a wrought iron or wooden structure which can act as the support for a robust, vigorous climbing plant, such as the ever-popular wisteria. A timeless choice that is a winning idea.

A reed shade canopy is provides a modern look and has exotic charm that fits in almost everywhere. Depending on the size/thickness of the reeds used, the look can be changed completely.

Is the floor of the balcony or relaxation area in the garden a little worn or very bland? Find a suitable outdoor carpet (in terms of size and color), and you will have an outside living room as beautiful as the one indoors.

If the spot where the dining area is set up is fairly protected from the elements, you can venture to use furniture which is normally used inside the home (but which also looks good outside).
