What's a party without balloons? Of course, the cake and the gifts are important too, but balloons definitely give the finishing touches to the festive atmosphere.

Loose, tied up with ribbons, hanging from the ceiling or anchored to the floor: there are so many ways to use and display balloons (and other decorations) at a festive event. Check out the ideas below!

Paper decorations for the wall

Cut out the shape of a butterfly (and it can be a big butterfly). Then make a load of small, multi-colored paper cones and glue them on the shape: the result will be a truly splendid, three-dimensional butterfly!

A similar idea, but this time the shape is a heart, and instead of decorative cones, tissue paper is used: this will give you a soft, fringed appearance. Perfect for an anniversary or for Valentine's day!

Balloon compositions

A thread from which ribbons are hung, and, at the end of each ribbon, a small colored balloon is attached: you choose how to mix and match the colors!

The more classic ideas are no less attractive: a garland of balloons always makes an great impression, especially if the combination of colors is done properly. But there are also balloons you can get that attach to each other (try searching for "quicklink balloons" on the internet for more information on this product).

Upside down: when we fill balloons with regular air, they do not float, so why not take advantage of gravity by "hanging" them upside down with ribbons attached to the ceiling?

Balloons inflated with helium, on the other hand, will rise up and float! And we can use this property to display cards, photos and other decorative pieces.

What if balloons served as a table centerpiece? A simple and colorful idea. Unless you have guest who likes to pop them, of course!

When helium balloons are used, you can play with matching color combinations: how about some big white balloons, with the thread that anchors them to the floor (generally by using a small weight), and with lots of colored drapes?

A colorful arch of balloons is reminiscent of a rainbow, and a kitchen or lounge can be quickly transformed to celebrate a birthday party, for example.

Then there are specially shaped balloons that are beautiful to use in a thousand ways: even to create extra large wall flowers!
