Art Déco is a style that was popular at the beginning of the last century. It is a style that, at the time, was considered ultra-modern. Today, this style is considered vintage and retro, but is still very elegant and sophisticated.

Bright colors, particular patterns, rigor and iconic shapes are the key elements that characterize this style. Even today, Art Déco remains a popular choice. In particular, many choose the Art Déco style for their bathrooms.

Check out some of the examples, listed below:

The specificity of the shapes, the orderly and geometric arrangement of the accessories and the sharp contrast between bright colors are classic Art Déco.

To the above, we can add the use of geometric motifs, often used for the floor tiles.

Another clearly Art Déco touch is the use of metallic or gilded fixtures and fittings.

Visible plumbing and industrial-style bulbs are another characterizing and widely used Art Déco "signature".

And, again, tiles that have an industrial style, obvious symmetries and the use of black are further features taken from the Art Déco era.

And, of course, a 1930's-style bathtub fits right into this retro look and feel.

Darker and more austere lines and colours - skilfully mixed with geometric patterns - are for a more classic bathroom but still maintain a strong vintage and retro feel.
