Plants in full bloom are a wonder to behold, but figuring out how to best show off their beauty is something that can be complicated. And let's not forget that plants help define the "character" of our gardens.

To this end, climbing plants (creepers) can really enhance our gardens. For example what could be better than strolling under a flowery arch (or two!) while meandering around our property?

Creepers, as we know, are twinned with arches, and amongst the most beloved of creepers, is the wisteria.

These clustered wisteria flowers can come in many different colors and even sizes. Building on this, stunning, natural decorations can be created, providing a breathtaking background for garden-help events.

Another type of creeper - which is certainly easier to manage and looks great on arches too - is the clematis. And there are many varieties of this plant too, with single or double flowers and amazing colors.

And what about the choice of the type of arch used? They can be narrow or wide, made of wrought iron, wood, brick, stone and more. Depending on personal taste, and where in the garden you place them, you will always find an ideal combination.

For climing roses, arches are the ideal supports. And it is no coincidence that many famous botanical gardens and parks have walkways punctuated by a series of rose-covered arches. It's wonderful idea to replicate at home.

Think of how nice it will be to pass under a flowery arch and smell an inebriating scent wafting through the air: among the creepers to consider, there are also the various types of jasmine.

What if the arch becomes the support for the branches of some nearby tree - like a lemon tree, for example? It's another idea to decorate your garden!

Not just for passageways: arches can also frame focal points in the garden, transforming a simple bench or seat into an idyllic vision, for example.

As for shape, you might like to use an arch that gives an oriental touch to the garden, ie. with one in lacquered wood that copies the styles of the Far East.

Finally, to keep your floral arch magical even when the sun goes down, why not give it some lanterns or lights?

Would you like to have an arch like these in your garden?
