From wreaths, to ornaments to hang on the tree: there are many decorations that we love to fill the house with on the Christmas holidays, and each of these can be made using an infinite number of different materials - even recycled materials. For example, if you have left over wool, you could use it to make original and colorful Christmas decorations.

This specific project is all about learning how to make woollen pom-poms, and there are several different techniques - easily available online - to do this. Once you find one that's right for you, you can practice making pom-poms in many different sizes and colors. Check out below how many ways you can use pom-poms for Christmas decorations:

Here's a wreath to hang up outside on the door: this can be made using woollen pom-poms in shades of green and red to look like leaves and berries.

With semi-circles of red and white, this wreath reminds us of Santa Claus. And it can serve as the base for a more complex decorative arrangement!

White, brown and beige: these pastel tones make you think about winter. This is also a stylish idea for those with more refined tastes.

By leaving one side longer, you can turn a pom-pom into a miniature woollen tree!

A brown pompom with a red felt (or EVA rubber) disk glued in the center can become a reindeer: excellent for decorating gifts.

Using cardboard or polystyrene cones as a base, you can also create colorful little trees, made using woollen pom-poms and battery-powered fairy lights.

A pom-pom can become a ball to hang up, and then, by adding tassels (also made from wool or cotton) and some beads, they will be sensational, unique decorations.

And one-color pom-poms can be charming Christmas tree decorations too.

But nothing stops you from threading different colors together for something more spectacular!

Two soft, white pompoms, one smaller than the other and place on top of each other: in an instant, you will have a cute snowman!

While a single white pompon, with a felt hat, can be Santa's elf, ready to be joined by the others.

Happy Holidays!
