Long dresses in the wardrobe? Hang them up perfectly by folding them properly

How many of you have clothes that are longer in length than the inside of the wardrobe? This is a very common inconvenience.

Most times, we just ignore this and hang long garments up anyway in the wardrobe. However, this causes the garments to get wrinkled and makes the wardrobe appear messy.

There is, however, a solution to this problem. There is a way to fold long garments (dresses, for example) on a hanger so that they fit in the wardrobe perfectly. Read on to find out how to do this:

This special way of folding lengthy clothes is shown in a video by @kyvolhometips, a very popular content creator on TikTok specializing in home organization tips. The method is easier to see than describe, but here's a brief summary:

  • Arrange the garment (in this case, a dress) flat on the bed and start by folding the outer edges towards the center, as you would normally do for any dress.
  • Then, slip the lower part of the dress into a hanger, folding it back on itself from the bottom.

  • Finally, bring the hanger down towards the upper part of the garment and fit the dress' straps into the slots on the upper part of the hanger itself.

Obviously, for this method to be done perfectly, the hanger must be made of metal and the dress must be sleeveless (even better if it has shoulder straps). However, this method can be used with other kinds of clothes. If there are sleeves - long or short - you can still put them on a hanger.

If you want to see this method in detail, watch the video the TikTokker posted. You will get the opportunity, in addition to learning this technique, to see many other very useful tips.
