Getting our hair dyed is an essential appointment for many of us, which occurs, more or less, once a month. If going to the hairdresser is a pain, however, you can opt to try a homemade dye and dyeing your hair in the comfort of your own home.

Unfortunately, however, these dyes do not only color one's hair: often, the dye will end up staining and ruining our towels. But there is hope. Detailed below is an effective method to make your dye-stained towels look like new again.

The TikTokker, @CleanHappyCo, explains in a tutorial how to effectively remove dye stains from towels. First of all, we use a natural stain remover to apply to the stain and leave to act for a while. You can use one of the many commercially available stain removers, but if you are looking for a homemade remedy, you have several choices available (depending on the color of the dye). Lemon juice is suitable for blonde shades, lemon juice and baking soda for dark dyes, apple cider vinegar for red shades. Whatever the case, apply the stain remover directly onto the part of the towel to be treated and let it act for a while. After about an hour, you can put the towels in the washing machine. Use a detergent enriched with enzymes that accelerate and strengthen the action of the detergent. Once finished, the stains should be gone. If the stain was very dark, however, you may still find some residue.

Bleach - usually the first step that is taken when it comes to eliminating stains - should only be used as a last resort if the stain has not been completely removed. Apply a little directly on the stain and work in with a sponge. Leave for about an hour, then repeat the machine wash. You will find your towel will look like new again!
