2. Christmas trees

Why not go for a walk in the woods to collect some pine cones? You can use them to make pretty Christmas trees to place in every room. There are many possibilities: you can leave the pine cones as they are, or paint them green to make them look more realistic; as a base you can use corks or the containers of used tea candles (or bottle caps). To decorate them, you can use beads, bows, ribbons or make your own from cardboard or felt.

3. Ice cream sticks decorations

If you had the brilliant idea of keepinig wooden ice cream sticks your kids tossed aside, you will certainly have a lot of fun using them to make wonderful decorations for your Christmas tree. The design ideas can be endles: from snowmen to reindeer; from Santa Claus to snowflakes.

4. Christmas nuts

If you like dried fruit, open your walnuts carefully and keep the shells; they will come in handy for making magnificent decorations for Christmas. You can put mushrooms, mice, little Santas or snowmen inside them. You can also use them as holders for small, scented candles.

5. Candlesticks

Candles are iconic for Christmas. So why not make beautiful DIY candle holders using old glass wine bottles? To decorate them, you can use pine needles, pine cones, colored ribbons, beads or make decorations in paper or cardboard to hang around their necks. They will create a warm, enveloping and romantic atmosphere.
