Just two products are enough for you to clean stains from your mattress

With all the time we spend in bed, having our mattresses and pillows in good condition is healthy. And the maintenance of the mattresses also includes proper cleaning. In fact, it is inevitable that some stains will periodically appear on them, and the best course of action is to act quickly - as soon as you notice it - so as to make them easier to remove.

Every time we make the bed, therefore, we should inspect the mattress and intervene immediately, if necessary. It does not take a long to do this (although it certainly depends on the type of stain). But by acting quickly, it is possible that just two ingredients that we usually keep at home will be sufficient: detergent for washing dishes and hydrogen peroxide (it is always recommended to use the 3% type).

The method we are talking about is also shown by TikTokker @vekalife24, in one of her videos. This shows the steps necessary to make any stain disappear from a mattress.

You will need:

  • A container for measuring and mixing ingredients, such as a measuring jug.
  • A spray bottle into which to pour the mixture.
  • A soft-bristled brush.
  • Hydrogen peroxide.
  • Dishwashing liquid.

It is the last two ingredients that create the DIY cleaning mixture. They are used in equal parts, so for example 200 ml and 200 ml.

The procedure is very easy:

  • Fill the measuring jug with detergent and then with hydrogen peroxide;
  • Mix well;
  • Pour into the spray bottle;
  • Spray directly on the stain to be treated;
  • Wait a few minutes and then, with the brush, scrub the stain carefully until it is erased.

You can see here how this TikToker does it. It is always advisable to use gloves and ventilate the room while doing this cleaning.

To this mixture - if you want - you can also add a couple of tablespoons of baking soda, (another ingredient that will help deodorize and clean the mattress).
