At home there are essential chores to be done, which none of us can avoid if we do not want to run the risk of having a home that looks like it is Halloween all year round. While they may seem boring and tiring, there are cleaning tasks to be done frequently - even several times a week, if necessary. Nowadays, we have many commitments and our hectic lives sometimes keeps us from our cleaning chores. Have you ever wondered if there is a way to postpone cleaning jobs?

Someone believe they have found a positive answer to this question: let's check out the advice of a TikTokker, whose motto is "work smarter, not harder!".

1. Dust

Dust is the number one annoyance in our homes - the more you clean it, the more it seems to accumulate. Dust cloths and microfibre cloths are useless, as is the reduction of furniture and furnishings to a minimum and frequent airing of the premises; the dust will always return to settle on every surface, moments after having removed it! Carolina McCauley, in her video, shows us a tip to remove dust for longer: mix water, vinegar, a teaspoon of olive oil and dish detergent in a container, then spray the mixture on furniture, windows, doors and all other surfaces of the house where dust settles. They will stay clean for weeks, Carolina assures us.

2. The floors

When you wash the floors, there is always the risk  of leaving annoying streaks behind which makes our home look dirty. In this case again, the very versatile vinegar comes to our aid: prepare a spray with water, vinegar and dish detergent, spray it on your floors and dry off using a floor mop. The result will be perfect!

3. Sofas, armchairs and carpets

Our sofas and armchairs are amongst the most difficult items to clean: if they do not have removable covers, we cannot  use the washing machine. And if the covers are removable, the cushions and the frames cannot be easily cleaned. The same goes for carpets: when they are large, it is impossible to wash them except by taking them to the drycleaner. The purchase of a carpet vacuum cleaner is therefore a good investment for these furnishing items. They work with water and detergent and also remove dirt that is near-invisible.

Try to put these tips into practice, and you will see that your home will sparkle for longer! For information on dosages and the full tutorial, watch the video here.
