3 easy ways to fold sheets and keep your storage closets neat

When we buy a new set of sheets for the bed they are often packaged in super compact way, with all the layers lined up perfectly, and the fabric is smooth and precise, without a single wrinkle. Very few are able to replicate this folding. When they come out of the the dryer, you might spend a lot of time ironing them - and maybe some of us don't iron them at all. But after ironing, then comes the challenge of folding them and, especially those with elasticated corners, this can be a real challenge.

Need some advice on how to fold your sheets into a single, neat and compact "package"? Well, here are three possible ways, illustrated by @pigletinbed on TikTok.

If you don't want to waste time, and you don't have so many bed sets to deal with, consider buying fabric sacks with drawstring closures. In this way, the sheets will be protected from dust, and you could even put scented bags inside!

Use a pillowcase as a storage bag. This is probably the best well-known and most used tip, and for a good reason: it has the same benefits as the one just described above, but there's no need to buy a fabric sack. Everyone has their favorite way to use this method: pack the various pieces of the linen inside the pillowcase, or compact them so as to make a smaller package. It all depends on the space available in the drawers or cabinets in which you want to store them.

The third method proposed by @pigletinbed is undoubtedly the most refined: a bed linen set is folded in such a way as to look like a miniature bed! It begins by folding one of the two largest pieces (usually the top sheet) into a strip, which hides the sheet that goes on the mattress on the inside, already folded. You begin by folding the strip up and then inserting the upper flap inside the just-folded one. This way, a pocket is formed into which you can insert the two pillowcases (obviously it also works with singles).

It will be much easier for you to understand these instructions by consulting the tutorial on TikTok.
