9 ideas for creating beautiful DIY candle holders using recycled wood from pallets, and more

Wood is a very versatile material which, not surprisingly, is often used in the making of furniture, ornaments and accessories for the home. In fact, wood manages to make even the coldest environments welcoming, giving warmth to the home. You don't necessarily need to buy it - even recycled wood has its own value, especially in the DIY world. Whether it's driftwood, old abandoned boards, or wood from pallets, it doesn't really matter. Indeed, the fact that it is recycled makes it even more valuable as it is more environmentally friendly.

The candle holders that we propose below are entirely and exclusively made with recycled pallet wood. Unique projects which will be eye-catching, but are also very simple projects to carry out - which is great for those who are not particularly skilled with manual DIY tasks.

Two plain pieces of wood and two old ladles are sufficient to make these candle holders which have a vintage charm. The ladles must be fixed vertically to the wood and can then used as supports for candles.

Cut wooden planks from an old pallet, size them and place them side by side to make a DIY wall candle holder. Just add another plank in a horizontal position as a support base, and that's it.

Do not throw away old wooden boards but recycle them to make original wall candle holders. In this case, you just need to add a piece of wood as a support and hang them on a wall vertically.

Drill a large hole in the top of a wooden log and insert a tea light. Make more candle holder logs (of varied heights) following the same procedure and place them side by side to create a table centerpiece or to decorate a corner of the house.

Do you have pallets laying around that you don't know what to do with? Save the front part of the pallt, place it vertically on the ground, then place candles or small lanterns on the pallet blocks.

Walking along the sea shore, it often happens that one may come across a piece of driftwood which has been shaped by the elements. Choose a piece, make holes in the surface and insert the candles. The effect is spectacular.

Even the branches found on the beach lend themselves to be transformed into marine-style candle holders. Pick up at least 7 pieces, place the first 6 side by side, secured with hot glue and secure the seventh branch horizontally across them, so as to be able to place the tea lights on top of it.

A glass jar and a few twigs, and this is sufficient to make an original DIY candle holder - which is also ideal as a centerpiece. Select twigs of roughly the same height and thickness, then secure them all around the jar with hot glue until it is completely clad. Now, you just need to insert a candle into the jar.

Finally we propose a simple project using bark. Use it to line a glass jar, securing the bark with hot glue. Add a cord (twine or leather, for example) around the jar and the candle holder is ready to use. You just need to jump in and get started.
