Do you have a garden in the back yard that you don't know how to use? Even if aesthetically it does not please you or it seems too small, in reality it takes very little to enhance it. The important thing is to choose the right elements, creating a stylistic harmony, avoiding selecting furniture and furnishing accessories at random. A few pots, a creeper, chairs and tables, hammocks and sofas - there are many things you can use, also drawing on creative recycling.

Before starting, however, study the space available, select a color (paint) palette of 3-4 colors at most, and think about the intended use of the space. Clearly, a small corner will hardly be able to accommodate deck chairs, tables and sofas, but it can still be transformed into a place of relaxation with the addition of a simple hammock and some lanterns. And don't forget the enormous potential of using potted plants, which you can also place in a paved corner. So, as you can see, there is plenty of room for creativity. Check out the ideas below:

It doesn't matter if the backyard garden is small - even a small corner can be turned into a dreamy spot if it is enhanced with the right elements. A simple table, flanked by two colored chairs, makes any environment welcoming. Guests will look forward to visiting you to enjoy a fresh cocktail in your green corner. If greenery isn't abundant, you can add flowers and potted plants.

Do you like a secret garden atmosphere? Create an arch of climbing flowers (creepers): roses and wisteria are great classics for this because they can transform even the most bland garden into a super-romantic and secretive place.

If you need to relax, place a nice carpet on the floor, add two deck chairs, some pillows, a wooden table to place books, cups of tea and various delicious snacks. Now, the garden is a proper outdoor sitting area to relax in.

To make your garden even more welcoming, we recommend adding lanterns / candles, to be lit in the evenings. The light of the candles (or lit wicks) gives any environment a magical and warm atmosphere.

Nothing is better than a few pot plants to enhance back yard, especially if it is not particularly rich in naturally growing plants. Do not use pots that are all the same but mix it up using different shapes and sizes, and perhaps drawing on some creative recycling. Pots, jugs, old suitcases, teapots - there are many objects that lend themselves to holding flowers and plants.

Do you want a sitting area in the back yard? Deck chairs are fine but if you want, you can take advantage of hammocks, which immediately evoke the feeling of relaxation. Not to mention that compared to furniture, they are much easier to move and to store away when not in use.

If you love to eat outside, there's nothing better than placing a large wooden table in the back yard, possibly in a slightly shaded corner. It's ideal to have lunch and dinner on, to do your work, or to relax at in the company of friends.

Since the back yard is usually more shielded from prying eyes than the front, you can use it to place a (small) swimming pool / plunge pool in and a few sun loungers, thus creating a delightful beach-like corner. You just have to put our tips into practice and find the one solution that best suits your garden.
