Flower Towers: Create wonderful flower pot towers to beautify the garden

Even if we think we have run out of space, we often want to add an extra flower pot to the garden. There is nothing like the petals, flowers and leaves of plants to liven up and decorate open spaces, and some species perform better in pots than when planted into the open ground.

Some plants, especially the seasonal ones, are in fact perfect to display inside planters and pots, and often putting the flowers inside this containers is a touch that makes them a truly spectacular sight. This is the case wit the so-called "flower tower" which is nothing more than vases - or other objects - stacked one on top of the other and then filled with flowers. See below how cute these can be:

It all depends on choosing containers of the same type, but of different sizes: for a good result you need at least three. The easiest way to make these compositions is by placing terracotta pots on top of each other (but resin / plastic ones will work well too).

It is also an opportunity to paint the pots with wonderful designs and possibly even uplifting text - perhaps even using them to welcome guests. They are in fact, a perfect type of planter for the corner next to the front door.

Then there are the compositions that seem to be in a precarious positioning, defying gravity: it is a fun and increasingly popular optical effect obtained by inserting a sturdy pole inside the base pot, and then putting the smaller pots (these generally of the same size), on the pole through the holes in their bottoms.

Then you need to position them so that they face in opposite directions - then you can fill them with soil and plants.

And this technique is not just for regular, round, clay pots - it works with square ones too.

Even by hanging them in baskets, a flower tower can be created!

And there are also those who have had the brilliant idea of transforming PVC pipes into flower boxes - which are somewhat like the shape of cacti!

Those towers in a gravity-defying position, can also be made with other objects, such as old buckets, vats or watering cans of galvanized metal.

It is a perfect installation for those who love a more rustic style in the garden!

And if by chance, you also have some enamelled metal basins - even if they are rusty and old - you could recycle them with this nice idea of a flowered tower.

Have you ever created similar towers in your garden?
