Garlands, more commonly known as wreaths, are among the most popular decorations of the Easter holidays, and above all they are very versatile. These crown-shaped creations that hang on doors, windows or even on panels placed above the shelves, are in fact a very basic structure with a simple shape that, depending on of the materials with which it is made from, becomes the icon and focus of many different occasions. And instead of round wreaths, you can take inspiration from the themes of each celebration to create wreath decorations in other shapes.

At Easter, therefore, the wreath should be a triumph of nature and pastel colors among which are flowers, eggs, rabbits, feathers and more. Bows, real or fake plant cuttings, fabric decorations, moss, lichen, branches, twigs ... the options are endless, and below are some really enchanting ideas to draw inspiration from:

If you are using decorated eggs, even fake ones, a nice way to create the wreath is to cover the base structure with shredded paper, wood or strands of straw, so that it will look like the eggs are in a nest.

A perfect idea for a shabby chic style decoration is to use an iron support to enclose the eggs within and a chicken coop net to wrap everything securely inside it.

To celebrate the bountifulness of nature in Spring, you can also use many green plants such as ferns and similar as a background material for a wreath and, in this way, every flower or decoration subsequently placed on the wreath will stand out in a splendid, focused way.

Faux plants and flowers are also beautiful, even if used on only one part of the wreath. For these types of wreaths, a crown base made from intertwined wooden branches are suitable.

Eggs, leaves, feathers: this wreath is a salute to nature and can be personalized according to the variety of plants or the colors of the ornaments available to you.

Real eggs can also be colored and painted like the chocolate ones you enjoy during this period!

Fabric bows and stuffed bunnies placed amidst whitened leaves and daisies (gerbere): it's all very elegant!

A very nice idea is to change the traditional round shape of the wreath's support / frame.  Instead, you can make one with two circles (one smaller than the other, and joined to the larger one at the point where their circumferences touch), then to be transformed into a stylized Easter bunny.

These types of wreaths can also be easily decorated with large, festive bows.

Choose any species of branch and flower you like - there are a thousand to be inspired by and are readily available.

And why not create a wreath that is entirely made of bows - it certainly would be festive!

Happy Easter!
