Make-up is an ally of everyday life that helps us to face every day with a different look: enhancing one's appearance with a look suitable for various occasions is a pleasure within everyone's reach, but a few mistakes are enough to prevent oneself from getting the result desired.

Considering that makeup is often used to mask signs of aging, it is counterproductive not to commit to avoiding those mistakes that instead yield the opposite result, and weigh down the appearance making us appear older than we actually are.

1) Using too thick a layer of foundation
Exaggerating with foundation creates a really unpleasant effect, which among other things, ends up highlighting the signs of aging rather than minimizing them. Therefore, avoid applying it with your fingers and use sponges (some must be moistened and wrung out before putting on makeup) or suitable brushes, so as to evenly spread a thinner but still concealing film. This is after obviously finding the best foundation for your needs.

2) Applying makeup to dry skin
Even if you use a make-up base, and apply the various layers of make-up to it, from creams / foundations to blushes and eyeshadows, when the base skin isn't hydrated, it will eventually absorb the make-up as it does with other skincare products. This spoils the uniformity of the make-up, but above all it is not at all beneficial for the health of the skin itself. The pores become clogged with the substances that should instead remain on the surface as much as possible, and is not adequately nourished with the moisturizing components. It is therefore good to make sure that you always moisturize your skin properly, including the necessary steps in your daily routine, and then always remove all makeup perfectly in the evening. At the base of a healthy skin and a good skincare routine there is always deep cleansing, to be carried out with different products and principles depending on the skin types, age and conditions to which it is exposed.

3) Using dark and vivid colors when you are more mature
It is true that maybe using bright and cheerful eyeshadows is a way of expressing yourself, but inevitably the flashy colors, dark makeup or the use of glitter accentuates wrinkles.

4) Using the right shade of lipstick, depending on age
Over the years, some lipsticks that have a warm base shade (yellow or red) can make teeth appear more yellow, and make a person look older. It is worth spending some time with some experts in a perfumery to discover the shades that best enhance your complexion and your face in general.

By avoiding these errors, you can find the mix of products and techniques that really enhance your look!
