Put on your foundation and forget about it: the top tip to make make-up last without retouching it

Foundation creams, as well as BB, CC or DD creams are indispensable allies in our everyday life. Even when you don't want to spend loads of time dedicating yourself to complete make-up session, or thinking too much about your eyes or contouring your cheekbones, it is however always useful (and sometimes essential!) to help improve the appearance of the face with a film of foundation or similarly colored creams.

Foundations serve to even out the complexion, minimize visible pores and ensure a brighter and more refined look with a simple action. Everyone has their favorite - it's the one that covers well without being too heavy for your skin and that is so good that you remain a loyal customer over the years. Of course, it is quite inevitable that make-up needs to be retouched over time and as the day drags on. But there is a trick to avoiding this inconvenience, which works especially well for those with oily skin.

This is a secret exploited by make-up professionals and which anyone with an oily and shiny skin can benefit from, and consists simply in applying a little fixing powder (which on the market is often found as "translucent powder" or "setting powder"), and which has exactly this function. It is usually used as a finishing touch, but when it is the base of the foundation, it is able to absorb excess sebum (natural body oil), and which thus does not ruin the overall hold of the foundation or the various colored creams.

Make-up finish will inevitably be matte, therefore it is not shiny as some styles require: however, if you like a velvety and uniform look, you can easily get it with this very simple method. It is also a step that makes it unnecessary to apply a base (primer) under the foundation, so it also lightens the load on the skin.

Since this advice appeared in a Reddit forum, it has gone viral online and has even been tried by professional make-up artists who recommend it to those with oily or combination skin types. It should be noted, however, that the various testimonials state that the make-up keeps very well, much better than with any other remedy (including spray fixers), but, later on in the day, it is not exactly the same as when it is just applied in the morning. Anyway, it's a great convenience to know that from morning until evening you don't have to worry about redoing all your face makeup, right?

Have you tried this method yet?
