To prevent waste and save money, it is always a good idea to use every last drop of dishwashing liquid. And even if diluted and no longer useful for the dishes, it can be useful for other tasks. Keep reading...

Firstly, add a little water to the dishwashing liquid bottle, shake it vigorously and wait for the foam to disappear. Once this is done, you will have some very useful soapy water with which you can clean, for example, the oven or some other greasy, grimy surface. Pour a little of the diluted dishwashing liquid onto the surface and use a non-abrasive sponge to clean away the grease and grime.

This mixture can also be very useful for cleaning the kitchen table, the work surface in the kitchen, your child's seat and the kitchen counter tops. It's also a great substitute when you run out of your regular degreaser product.

Diluted dishwashing liquid can be useful for other cleaning tasks, for example:

  • Cleaning jewelry. If you jewelry is tarnished, using just a few drops will be sufficient. Immerse tarnished earrings, bracelets, necklaces or rings in the liquid and leave them to soak for 5 minutes. Then rinse off with running water and dry. Your jewelry will shine again.
  • Grease stains on clothes. If you have stained your favorite dress and the grease stain is very stubborn, don't worry. Put a drop of detergent on the affected area and spread it lightly using circular movements. Leave it to act for a few minutes and then proceed with a regular wash. The stain will disappear.
  • Cleaning the floor. Not only is dishwashing liquid recommended for the regular cleaning of floors in the home, but also for outdoor areas which are usually a little more difficult to treat. Just sprinkle a little baking soda on any stains and then wet with a little detergent. Leave to act for at least a couple of hours and then scrub vigorously with a brush.
