When you furnish your garden or balcony, you usually create an area for eating or relaxing, where you can also spend time outdoors with guests. A table and chairs are always present and very often, they are made of white/green resin (or plastic). Although they are built with materials that resist inclement weather, sooner or later, they will show signs of wear.

In some cases, their color fades. At other times, they develop dark spots and stains that are difficult to get rid of. And in the worst cases, they simply break. But when it comes to cleaning this type of garden furniture, there are several ways to make it look like new again - especially in the case of white furniture. Read on to find out more:

To clean this garden furniture the stains are not difficult to remove, a basin of hot water with a little dish soap (or even Marseille soap) may be enough. Use a sponge to remove the bulk of the dirt, and you can simply rinse off using a hose.

To remove more stubborn marks, however, add a little sodium bicarbonate or citric acid to a sponge. These products are abrasive but are not too aggressive. However, if the dark spots still will not go away - and you are working on white furniture - then you can use bleach-based detergents (or even use a very fine steel wool sponge).

For both white and colored chairs, you can also use the blowtorch method (but with extreme caution): if you pass a blowtorch over the plastic (after having washed it), the heat will melt the plastic just enough to raise the color and repair superficial damage. Try this solution as a last-ditch remedy.

Then, there are a thousand ideas to restore garden furniture creativity - by painting and/or decorating it!
