storage bed (i.e. one with storage drawers built in under/inside it) is a very practical choice, especially for those who have a small house and cannot have extra wardrobes for sheets, blankets and pillows. However, this type of bed has a negative side: storage beds are very low to the floor, making it very difficult to clean under the bed. Storage beds are usually equipped with fairly easily removable panels and drawers on the bottom, which allow you to get at the floor. However, this operation is a pain and most of us skip the chore.

So, how can we easily clean under the bed, while avoiding wasting effort and time? Sara explains how to do this in a video:

@Sara_home_organizer is an Instagram user who shares many housekeeping tips and tricks on her account. In one of her videos, she explains how she solved the problem cleaning the space under a storage bed. You can choose to move the whole bed, or you can empty the drawers, clean the panels with a cloth soaked in water and vinegar, then vacuum and mop the floor uder them. But this is still a "painful" operation. So how do you stop dust from accumulating under a storage bed?

The solution will leave you surprised by its simplicity. Many types of storage bed models exist, but the differences between types are minimal. Just request the highest feet available from the manufacturer to solve the problem. Putting on the feet is very simple. Once you have these feet (which are usually secured in place with simple screws), pop them on and you will see that your bed will now have sufficient height to allow the vacuum cleaner under it. Of course, you are free to leave the feet in place or to take them off again after cleaning.

Simple, right? So, what are you waiting for? Watch the video to check out how this works !
