Almost all of us have more than one liquid crystal display (LCD) screen at home that we have to dust and clean periodically. From televisions and personal computers, there are at least two or three in every home. Cleaning them would seem to be simple, as they are a flat, shiny surface.

In reality, we are dealing with very delicate surfaces that are continually at risk of being scratched, broken covered in stains and marks.

However, there are products that can clean LCD screens without damaging them. Read on to find out more:

Revealing the secrets to cleaning a LCD screen is TikTokker, @ vekalife24, a Spanish user with a large following and expert knowledge in cleaning tips. The cleaning method shown by @vekalife24 is really simple:

  • Get yourself a spray bottle in which you will mix, with the help of a funnel, a solution made of water and isopropyl alcohol (or a disinfectant alcohol that you already have at home).
  • To make the correct dosage, mix one part alcohol and two parts water. In the video, the TikTokker uses one American-size cup of alcohol for every two cups of water.
  • Shake the bottle well and your cleaning solution will be ready to use.

To use the cleaner on the screens, avoid spraying it directly on the surface to be treated. Above all, avoid using paper towelling, which we often tend to use on glossy surfaces. Instead, spray it on a microfibre cloth and clean the screen with the cloth which, in a few seconds, will be spotless. Seeing is believing!

You can watch the tutorial video here and you will also find it on the TikTokker's page. Here, you will have the opportunity to see her other amazing cleaning hacks that could come in handy for your other cleaning chores.

Have you used the method described above? If not, give it a try!
