Not just dishes, cutlery, glasses and various pots: in the dishwasher you can also wash other objects that are commonly used. This appliance, which is very useful, but also very energy-intensive, should be used to wash these non-standard items whenever there is room left over in the dishwasher.
In this way, some less than "conventional" items can be included in a wash along with with plates and cutlery. Read on to find out more:

- Accessories used for small tasks, made of resistant plastic or glass: if you have used palettes or other accessories for painting or decorating, and you want to clean them, the dishwasher can help you. And if it was DIY paints made with food coloring, you can load all of these together with the normal dishes.
- Bathroom trash cans: wash these along with other things that you do not use to prepare or eat food. This will save you a lot of effort and hassle.
- Dog and cat bowls: both dry and wet pet food bowls can be put in the dishwasher.
- Soap trays in the bathroom, and similar holders: wash them along with compatible items.
- Plastic toys for children: there are those who use the washing machine and those who use the dishwasher to clean toys.
- Microwave trays and turntables: basically, these are washable crockery.
- For similar reasons, even spice containers can be washed in the dishwasher (once empty).
- Refrigerator shelves, (which are glass and at room temperature). Do not select a high temperature wash.
- Lampshades of medium size.
- Vacuum cleaner accessories.
Whenever it comes to objects that could be damaged by heat, choose washing programs for delicate objects (like for crystal), which are around 40°C.
