Is cleaning the kitchen cabinets tiring for you? You could try a rotating mop

Cleaning the kitchen cabinets is a matter which we put off forever (unless we want to open the doors and find them covered with a sticky film). When cooking, all the fumes, vapors and splashes of oil and sauces get almost everywhere. Even when using the extractor fan, it is not possible to completely eliminate the dirt that settles on the kitchen cabinets.

Every so often, therefore, it is necessary to equip yourself with a step ladder, gloves, basins, sprays and cloths to clean and dry the kitchen units. However, there is a method that is popular online, which could be useful for those who want to carry out this chore effortlessly and faster - by using a rotating mop.

This is one of the most popular cleaning tools on TikTok and on social networks in general, when it comes to doing household chores. The are available all over the world, with a special bucket that squeezes the mop out.

The long handle of the mop can be useful for washing surfaces which are high up, like those of kitchen cabinets (and cabinets in the bathroom too).

We also see the mop in use in a video by TikTokker, @momthatlovestoclean: she fills a bucket with a mixture (in this case a little liquid dish soap, a spoonful of powdered laundry detergent and a bit of very hot water). Then she puts the rotating mop round in the bucket, activates the centrifuge with a pedal and here, instead of using on the floor, passes it easily over the vertical kitchen cabinet surfaces.

She explains that this method degreases properly, removes fingerprints, and does not allow the soap to drip: the important thing is to squeeze the mop out very well before using it. In the comments, we can read the enthusiastic opinions from other users: "I bought the mop and detergent yesterday and I cleaned my wall cabinets tonight. It saved me so much time and worked great. I saved my back and knee joints."

In fact, it is the convenience of such a solution that makes it a must-try trick, especially for those who can't easily get on stools, chairs or ladders to reach difficult spots. If the units are mostly smooth - without too many inlays and grooves - it may become one's preferred way to clean these units regularly.

Certainly it is a method that requires a thorough cleaning of the mop: it is better to have more spare mop heads, and always to wash them thoroughly in the washing machine before using them again. One of the benefits of this type of mop, is the fact that the mop heads are easily washed.

Have you ever tried to wash kitchen units like this?
