Do you need to clean the bathroom quickly? Try these tips to do it in only 15 minutes

There is no bathroom that does not deserve to be thoroughly cleaned, and the bathroom is probably the environment that has priority in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. However, if we take clean it often and use it in such a way as not to create too much mess daily, then it will often be enough to simply give it a quick clean to keep it looking acceptable.

This does not mean that hygiene issues can be neglected: simply, it means that we only need to ensure we maintain cleanliness and we can do this quickly in routine cases. In fact, just 15 minutes of cleaning can be enough to maintain good hygiene standards. It is only necessary to use the most efficient course of action - almost as if it was a choreographed dance that you can perform with your eyes closed.

First of all, equip yourself with everything you will need:

  • A sponge and soft cloth
  • Absorbent paper or (more environmentally friendly), clean rags
  • Your favorite product for cleaning bathroom surfaces
  • A product for cleaning windows and / or mirrors
  • Gloves
  • A broom or vacuum cleaner
  • A bucket and mop
  • A large basin or basket

How to proceed with the cleaning:

  • Free all the surfaces of the various bottles and products laying around, and put them in the basin / basket (unless it is more convenient to quickly to store them elsewhere, in their respective closets). If in the end you have time, put everything back in order, otherwise leave the basin where it is and then rearrange each item later. Furthermore, before starting, you should remove any towels to be washed, placing them directly into the laundry basket. Now put on your gloves and start the cleaning.
  • Sweep, mop or vacuum the bathroom to remove the bulk of the dirt, which otherwise will remain under your feet and may get a wet while you wash the other surfaces.
  • Clean the mirror: just spray the product you chose on a cloth and rub over the surface. Even a little water and dish washing soap can replace a special mirror cleaning product if you don't have one.
  • Take care of the sink: you can use any degreasers you prefer - even DIY ones will do. An excellent product to prepare at home is made by mixing 3 tablespoons of citric acid (or 230 ml of white vinegar) with 1 liter of water (preferably distilled) and a drop of dish washing soap. Then clean up any soap and limescale residue, and use a clean microfibre cloth to dry everything off and to polish the fittings.
  • Move on to the shower or the bathtub - you can use the same product you used for the sink, but you can also use one of several popular DIY concoctions.
  • If you want to take clean the drains, pour half a glass of baking soda into each, and then a cup of white vinegar. Wait a few minutes (while doing something else) and then flush with hot, running water for a few seconds.
  • Now it's time for the toilet: sanitize the lids, lift them and clean the inside of the toilet. The clean the outside surfaces. You will most certainly have your favorite soap or homemade product for this task (perhaps you have a DIY mixture based on vinegar or hydrogen peroxide).
  • Quickly pass the vacuum cleaner (or mop) over the floor again.
  • Wash the floor with hot water.

In only a quarter of an hour you will be done and you will be free to go on to do something else which is much more enjoyable!
