  • Aloe vera: Aloe vera leaves contain a gel rich in water and proteins, vitamins, minerals and other substances that are very beneficial for the skin. It is generally used to treat burns but it also helps in other cases, such as for treating swelling around the eyes. Just cut a piece of a leaf that you have taken by detaching it from the base of the plant (and without breaking it), take the gel from the inside of the leaf and massage it around the eyes. Be very careful not to get the gel inside your eyes, as it can cause irritation and pain.
  • Sweet almond oil: the oil obtained from almonds (even better if it’s cold-pressed) is also excellent for fighting swelling around the eyes, thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It also contains retinol, vitamin E and vitamin K.
  • Tea Bags: Green or black tea contains caffeine, which helps to make skin firmer and tighter, as well as reducing signs of inflammation. Again, tea contains flavonoids, or antioxidants. So, after having prepared a cup / pot of tea with the teas bags, let them cool down well (even putting them in the fridge) and then place them under your eyes or on top of your closed eyes for a few minutes. Then squeeze the bags out gently to get some residual liquid massage it around your eyes delicately. Rinse off with warm water.
  • Slices of cucumber: Cucumbers are rich in water, vitamin C which is energizing for the skin, and also antioxidants that act against polluting toxins in the environment, that is, those that often cause swelling and redness. Cut the cucumber into thin slices and place them on closed eyes or cut a slice into two crescents to leave under the eyes, and relax for about ten minutes or more before removing them.
