If you need a place to hang your favourite clothes, make a DIY wardrobe

Almost none of us manages to keep perfect order in our wardrobes: in any bedroom there is always "the chair" or a shelf that, day after day, is steadily draped or loaded with the clothes that we wear and then, when we undress, we casually toss onto them. Most often, these will be clothes that we will come back to to use at least one more time (before we wash them) and so we don't bother to put them away carefully in the closet.

But what if instead of creating a messy pile on a chair, we had an open hanging area to keep them tidy and prevent them from being creased under the weight of the clothes on top of them? A bit like those which we see in shops, we can take advantage of getting free-standing clothes rails, or rails hung from the ceiling, or rails that are hung from the underside of a shelf. These rails will definitely help to keep our clothes a little more tidy. Check out the ideas below:

Hooks on the ceiling, a sturdy rope and a wooden rail held perfectly horizontally. Just add hangers and baskets at the bottom, and in this way, you avoid making a lot of mess.

Leather straps can be used instead of rope, and a piece of sugar cane could be used instead of a metal rod or rail.

For children's clothes, this type of idea can also be adapted, by attaching the rail to a shelf. In this way everything is lower and easier to reach, which is great for kids.

You can also use natural wood branches, to create a rustic and naturalistic style at the same time. However, it would be good to first treat the wood with a sealant so that it lasts a long time.

And to give it an extra touch, these wood rails can also be decorated with strings of LED lights.

Mobile clothes rails with wheels - such as those used in clothing stores - also work very well. And why not use an artifcial grape vine to decorate it in slightly bohemian style?

If you have nice, de-barked and treated wood branches to use, you could build a coat stand with a shelf at the bottom to use - maybe for shoes and bags.

Alternatively, you can equip the wall under the coat rack with wooden fruit / wine crates, which will act as shoe racks and shelves.

Even old, wooden pallets can be used for this type of DIY project.

And so you could create a wardrobe wall without spending a huge amount of money.

Would you like to take advantage of ideas like these in your home?
