3 very simple, DIY projects to transform your laundry area at home
In most homes, there is a corner where all the dirty laundry is "dumped" into one or two hampers. This soon becomes a chaotic mess, but how can you add more hampers to alleviate this problem if you have no more free space in your laundry room/corner? Well, check out some ideas below:
1. A space-saving, DIY hamper

If there is space for only one hamper, it must be large enough to contain a normal laundry load. And if you want the hamper to perfectly fit into a free space in your laundry, you can go the DIY route.
On the Build Things From Stuff YT channel, a hamper is shown to be made from PVC tubes. This is simple to assemble and the hamper itself is just a fabric bag. And, of course, a single hamper will get very heavy, so adding wheels for mobility is essential!
2. A "chic" version using copper pipes

Here's a similar idea from the YT channel, The Sorry Girls: instead of PVC, copper tubes are used. This gives slightly more "chic" look, and this method allows you to create multiple hampers (perhaps in different sizes too)!
For both the above projects, it is recommended to use very robust fabric for the baskets component: laundry is weighty, so using a sturdy cotton or burlap is recommended (and which can be itself washing often without quickly wearing out).
3. Stacking! A space-saving proposal
Here's an alternative that is very efficient: a hamper made of PVC pipes, complete with a mobility handle (like a shopping trolley). The most notable feature of this model is that it is equipped with two shelves: this allows you to stack two standard, plastic laundry baskets vertically (saving valuable floor space). Adding wheels will also give you the advantage of easy mobility.
These ideas are bound to help you declutter your laundry room and make doing the laundry a slightly more pleasurable chore!
