Immediately after installation - and regardless of whether you have chosen an adhesive or interlocking PVC floor - it is necessary to clean it before positioning the furniture.

This cleaning is necessary to remove any debris left behind after the installation process.

We recommend that you carry out this first cleaning using warm water and a delicate detergent, wiping down with a cloth and allowing to air dry.

Once installed, a PVC floor also requires regular maintenance - at least once a week - in order to avoid the build-up of dust and dirt.

Sweep the floor with a soft bristled broom or use a vacuum cleaner and then wash the floor with a mop or a damp cloth (preferably woolen) using a solution of warm water and neutral detergent.

Rinse off using clean water and a cloth, taking care not to leave any water on the surface as it could cause the PVC to swell. Finally, let the floor dry naturally.

Stubborn stains, such as grease, oil, ink or rust, may require additional effort. That said, it is best not to use aggressive chemical detergents as these could irreparably damage a PVC floor.

Instead, select a delicate and specific product specially formulated to treat stubborn stains on PVC/vinyl.

Rub the stain with a cloth soaked in this detergent and leave for 10-20 minutes. Finally, wipe everything away with the help of another wet cloth.

Unfortunately - and inevitably - PVC floors can pick up scratches.

For this problem, there are specific wax-based detergents that allow you to remove superficial scratches simply by spraying on the floor and leaving the product to act for a few minutes. Once done, remove any excess with a clean, damp cloth.

Maintenance of a PVC floor might seem like a complicated process, however, with the right methods and the specific products for this type of material, you will be able to keep the flooring in your home pristine.
