For the best results without expending much effort, prepare a solution of Marseille soap and water, immerse an old sock in it, wring it out, put it on your hand and pass it around the entire gate or grating frame to be cleaned. Rinse off with a spray bottle of water and pat dry. Easy, right?

Make a detergent and sanitizer for surfaces and fabrics by mixing baking soda with a few drops of scented essential oil in a glass jar. Cover with plastic wrap and secure with an elastic band. Then punch holes in the plastic wrap. Spread the baking soda mixture on the fabric to be cleaned, leave it to act for 30 minutes and then vacuum it up. On other surfaces, you can remove with a damp cloth.

When cooking, it often happens that spills and food residue are deposited around the stove. And if you don't clean these away immediately, you could have a hard-to-solve problem. To treat most baked-on grime, immerse some orange peels in a jar of vinegar, shake well and let this rest for 15 days before transferring the solution to a spray bottle. Pour bicarbonate of soda on the grime to be treated and spray on the solution. Then remove with a sponge. The surface will be perfectly clean again!
