Renovating a home can be a long, tiring and very expensive experience, which is why we often give up or postpone the renovations for a long time. If you like DIY, however, you know that there is an easy and cheap alternative to furnish your entire home: using pallets. Extremely versatile materials and very simple to work with, pallets can help you give a new look to a single room or to an entire apartment.

So why not start from the entrance? This part of the house is the one that welcomes us when we return from work, travel or outings, but it also welcomes our guests. It may therefore be a good idea to start the renovations here and pallets lend themselves very well to this purpose. Here are 12 fabulous ideas to inspire you:

1. Radiator covers

A simple pallet in an upright position and repainted in the color of your choice can be a useful entrance table or a practical radiator cover.

2. Rustic coat rack

Create a dedicated corner for when you come in and out of the house with this rustic coat rack. A shoe rack with pallets stacked up and cut into three pieces will help keep your floors cleaner.

3. Simple shoe rack

It is very simple to make a shoe rack by placing one or two pallets on the wall with the support surface leaning against the wall. For large families or footwear lovers, this is great.

4. Equipment wall

If you have very little space, just attach pallet planks to the wall and equip them with hooks or horizontal planks to use as small shelves. Paint the planks in your favorite color or to match the rest of your entrance area.

5. Simple table

A pallet secured to the wall will become a usefu, narrow table. Add planks horizontally under the base to get small shelves and decorate it with knick-knacks and photographs.

6. Elegant corners

For a more elegant decor, use two pallets joined together and arranged vertically to use as a shoe rack; overlay them with half pallets equipped with hooks for hanging jackets, backpacks and coats. Painted in a dark color and equipped with a dark and shiny wooden table top, this will have a very elegant effect.

7. Elegant coat hanger

Painted white and equipped with elegant hooks, this pallet is perfect for welcoming guests. You can place it over a small table made from pallet planks, also painted white.

8. Entrance table

Easily create an entrance table by simply joining two pallets together. You can add a table top in glass or resin or in wood. Add baskets to use as drawers for a neater look.
