A tent in the living room: use sheets and blankets to make any family night magical

Almost everyone, at least once, has wanted to play in the home or in the garden by building a tent from old sheets or blankets, sticks, pegs and similar materials. It's a super-creative and fun way to have adventures without leaving the living room. This desire often fades as you grow up, when you lose the magic of everyday life. But nothing prevents you from getting this feeling back - even if for just one evening spent with the family and the children.

Below, you will find some ideas which may inspire you to do exactly this:

A tent or fort doesn't necessarily have to be something spartan, especially if the adults really want to enjoy the experience too: so, it will be necessary to find something that raises the sheet that acts as a roof high enough, and then stretch the fabric out until it forms the perimeter. Brooms, sticks, a microphone stand - all can serve to hold the roof up! Then use whatever is to hand to close the sides.

The tent can be raised on one side, with a conical shape, or have a square frame. There are thousands of ideas and examples. And if there isn't a stick available as a support, you can use wire, rope or cord.

Sometimes it is an idea that lends itself to becoming permanent or semi-permanent as a play corner for the children, for example.

Carpets, mattresses, lots of pillows: the important thing is that once inside the tent, everyone is comfortable. The idea is to forget about the outside world, and this can only be done if the tent is warm and welcoming.

From pajama parties to "wild" evenings for adults: a tent in the living room can really make the house look and feel magical.

Near the window during the day, or equipped with strings of lights, or a latern. You can make a tent that you will never want to leave.

Food, computers, drinks: imagine a weekend of pure relaxation with your favorite movies and TV series spent in this tent.

And if you have lots of cushions and colorful sheets and a spare carpet, your makeshift tent could become charmingly oriental.

When it's cold, warm duvets and pillows are great!

Would you like to hide away from the world in a tent like one of these once in a while?
