If there are small children in the home, it is very probable that somewhere there is evidence of their creative flair. In many cases, the favorite canvas on which kids express their artistic talents is the walls of the house, which often end up covered with colorful scribbles. As proud as one may be of the potential of one's kids, it is almost always the case that we prefer to keep our walls clean .

So, how do you make these scribbles disappear? Find out by reading further:

The favorite method used by many moms - including TikTokker @cleanhappyco - is really very simple. All you need is:

  • An all-purpose cleaner (the kind you use on various surfaces, often to degrease)
  • A melamine sponge (also called "magic erasers")
  • A microfiber cloth, mounted on a broom, like the Swiffer type

The procedure, as you might imagine, is very intuitive:

  • Wet and wring out the melamine sponge properly (but never use it dry);
  • Spray a generous amount of the all-purpose cleaner onto the scribbles;
  • Rub vigorously until the scribbles are erased from the area. Continue spraying and scrubbing section by section;
  • When you're done with the sponge, attach the clean, dry microfiber cloth to the broom;
  • Spray a little more detergent directly on the cloth (do not overdo it) and then wipe down the entire wall to finish the job.

At this point, as you can see in the video, the scribbles should all be gone!

Among other alternative methods to try, are the following:

  • Use white vinegar with a regular sponge, or the magic eraser;
  • Use hairspray - but only if you know that it will not stain the wall. Then scrub immediately with an old toothbrush and finally wipe off using a soft, moist cloth.

What's your favorite method of removing scribbles from your walls?
