By placing used tea bags on the radiators you will get an excellent solution for bad odors and you can save on the purchase of commercial deodorants and sanitizers. In fact, used tea bags will absorb bad smells and sanitize the air at no cost. The same goes for the refrigerator, shoe cupboard or pantry: put a used tea bag inside the area to absorb odors and your closed spaces will no longer need commercial deodorizers.

Finally, if you have a cat, put a tea bag at the bottom of the litter box: it will help remove bad smells and your cat will not be bothered by it.

Tea is also an excellent degreaser for dishes and crockery, metal, glass, wood surfaces and floors. Use the bags by rubbing them directly on the surface to be cleaned and you will see how effective they can be. However, be sure to dry the surface immediately afterwards, otherwise the tea will tend to darken it.

3. Remedy for skin and hair

Used tea bags can also be effectively reused as a skin remedy in multiple ways:

  • Keep two in the freezer: they will be an excellent compress to reduce eye bags and dark circles after a sleepless night.
  • Tea bags can also be used for their astringent properties in case of small skin discomfort, they help to soothe the burning and pain as well as accelerate the recovery of the skin.
  • A 15-minute footbath with lukewarm tea made from used sachets will help reduce the sweating of your feet.
  • Used tea bags can also be used to prepare a second infusion which, when cooled, can be used as a hair treatment: it will immediately make hair more shiny and fragrant. Be careful with light blond or white hair, however: it could give hair an orange shade.
