Have you furnished your home to perfection, but do you still have some unsightly element that breaks the harmony? You are in very good company: between electric cables, radiators, garbage cans, air conditioner motors and more, there are many objects that can make your home less attractive.

Have you ever thought that there are ways to hide them? What if you try to disguise them instead? They could themselves become magnificent pieces of furniture (or decoration) and give personality to your home! We have selected 6 truly brilliant ideas to take inspiration from:

Electric cables: wrap them with jute thread

Electric cables are a real pain. Our homes are filled with so many technological objects, and our rooms are transformed into a tangle of electrical cables.

There are several ways to hide them: there are boxes that an contain them, or they are the ideal objects for transforming into decorative objects. How about covering them with jute cord? By doing so you can leave them free. They will make the rooms look unique.

Electric cables which are flowering branches

Another way to disguise electrical cables is to transform them into real works of art: television cables are well suited for this purpose, since they run along the walls.

Just apply some leaves and flowers and, why not, even some birds perched on the cables. You will see that your cables will instantly transform into beautiful tree branches!

Air conditioner motor as a cabinet

The motors of some air conditioners are amongst the ugliest and most unsightly things found on our terraces and balconies. In this case, it takes very little to turn them into something pleasant and even useful.

Cover them with cabinets or wardrobes, and they will become very useful storage compartments.

Radiators

Radiators should always be kept clear in order to give off more heat with less waste. But if you have a radiator at home that you really don't like, you can disguise it with a wooden frame.

Depending on the position of the radiator, the frame can be transformed into a shelf that can accommodate pots of green plants or flowers and knick-knacks, or turn into a wonderful and comfortable seat, with soft cushions.

Wall-mounted jewellery box

Do you have a lot of jewellry and not much space to store it? The answer is simple: store your items in a wall-mounted jewelry box! Behind a painting or a photo frame, they will remain perfectly hidden and will not distract from the furniture or the furnishings.

Garbage bins

In the past, there was a bin for the garbage, which could easily be stored under the sink. Today with separate materials collections, the number of bins have multiplied and often cause an annoyance in our kitchens or balconies. Yet it is very easy to hide them: just insert them into a cabinet (as shown in the photo).

What do you think of these ideas? Now these unsightly objects will no longer be a nuisance!
