Keep tangles of cables out of sight: find the most useful solution to hide them in every room of your home

In everyday life we make use of a large number of devices powered by electricity. Whether they are televisions, computers or large appliances connected to the power, or the mobile devices that we often plug in somewhere to recharge them, in every room of the house there are many cables of every type and size that snake out of the power sockets to ending up on the surfaces of surrounding / nearby furniture.

Not only are these cable tangles ugly, but they can also be annoying when you need to tidy up a room and clean up. So it's worth thinking about possible solutions - even DIY remedies - to hide them from view.

If you have wall-mounted monitors (like a TV screen), there will certainly be cables hanging under the screen which plug into a wall socket or multi-plug socket that is located nearby. Instead of leaving the tangle of cables in plain view, it is better to bunch them together and cover them with a cable cover (cable conduit): the appearance of the wall changes immediately when you use one of these.

There are also these covered cable organizers which come in every color and size, and they can also be installed on the edge of the desks and tables where you work: no more annoying cable tangles that take up space on the desktop or hang in mid-air like a bird's nest.

And when you have to connect more plugs to the same multi-socket, an unpleasant ball of wires is created: why not use some type of box to put everything inside? You can also use baskets: the cables pass through holes that double as a handle and hide everything inside them.

There are also simpler solutions, namely boxes designed and sold specifically for this use. These are sold in furniture stores and also online.

However, if you prefer a solution with a slightly more rustic look, some basket or wooden boxes could be for you.

When we put food processors and other appliances on worktops in the area, or are close to power sockets, then there usually is no need to unroll their entire power cable - which wll then take up necessary space; or if they are far away from the sockets, we have to roll up the cable again and put it away ... and where can we put these rolled up cables? Online you can find hooks that can be fixed to the side of the appliances where we roll up their cables, neatly.

And in addition to these hooks which are designed for specific types of appliances (but which are still versatile), there are many famous brands which can help meet all our needs.

A clever idea is also to transform an old bread basket - the kind that has a curved, sliding closure - into a charging station. This is a nice alternative to using boxes, to be deployed in the kitchen and other rooms.

And there is also no shortage of DIY projects to create fantastic charging stations where everything fits and there is no unsightly cabling in sight.

Would it be useful for you to take advantage of solutions like these?
