Outdoor garden furniture can now be made of an infinite number of different materials, even those generally underestimated like simple concrete / cement. Something that was born as a tool for building and construction can instead be used in an artistic and creative way, so as to craft furniture and decorations of various kinds to embellish the garden with unique objects.

Benches, flower boxes, tables, fountains and more: concrete is something that can take any shape we can think of. You can create many geometric shapes and/or replicate the shape of some natural element, according to your taste. Check out the ideas below:

One of the simplest projects that can be done, but which is also useful and beautiful, is that of Japanese pedometers or stepping stones: they are originally steps that are arranged in the ground to form a path on which to walk so as not to tread on the lawn or flower beds. And using concrete, they can have any shape we want, and they can be enhanced with some decorative elements in relief!

Using large leaves you can mold the beautiful veins of large leaves in the concrete.

Or mold the footprints of family members in order to remember them for a long time afterward.

There are also many projects from which one can be inspired in creating garden furniture, such as a concrete tabletop.

Even a more geometrically plain coffee table is very beautiful, and will be practically indestructible and resistant to all types of weather.

Again, benches to sit on in shady spots or those from which to enjoy the best view of the garden can be cast using concrete.

And of course, you can always combine concrete with other materials such as wood or metal.

Even purely decorative elements such as concrete spheres that are used to adorn flower beds is a very fascinating idea.

... or more closer to nature, large leaves cast from concrete that will look real once they have been painted. That's right, even concrete can be painted to appear highly realistic!

And the painted, concrete leaves could also become bird trays.
